Terms of use
The rules for using Wayword, in plain English. By using the app or this site you agree to them.

Who we are
Wayword is provided by Real Blue Software LLC, New Berlin, Wisconsin, USA (“we”). Contact: dgauger@realbluesoftware.com.
Your account
- You need to be at least 13 to use Wayword, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live.
- Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you’re responsible for what happens in your account.
- You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings, Account) or on the deletion page.
Using Wayword
We give you a personal, non-transferable license to use the app and its course for your own learning. Please don’t copy, resell or redistribute the course content or audio, try to break or overload the service, get at other people’s data, or use automated tools to pull content out of it.
The course content
We work hard to get the language right, but a course can contain mistakes, and how people speak varies by region and situation. Use the “Report a problem” button and we’ll fix what we can. Wayword is a learning tool: in an emergency, don’t rely on it to communicate. In Czechia, call 112 (operators speak English).
Speaking feedback
Pronunciation feedback is produced automatically by speech recognition and our scoring. It’s a guide, not a judgment, and it can be wrong, especially for single short words.
Price
Wayword is free to start. If we add a paid plan, its price and terms will be shown clearly in the app before you’re asked to pay, purchases will go through the App Store or Google Play under their terms, and you’ll be able to cancel there. These terms will be updated before any charge is possible.
Availability and changes
We may change, pause or stop parts of Wayword. If we ever shut it down, we’ll give at least 30 days’ notice in the app. We may update these terms; if a change matters, we’ll tell you in the app and update the date above.
No warranty
Wayword is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim about Wayword is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50 if you paid nothing. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be limited.
Ending
You can stop using Wayword at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms, after telling you why where we can.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, USA, except where your local consumer law says otherwise.
Apple
If you got Wayword from the App Store: these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, isn’t responsible for claims about the app, and is a third-party beneficiary of these terms with the right to enforce them. Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies where these terms don’t cover something.
